Hey all, still with us I see! Does anyone else think these themes are getting ridiculous? Kylana comes up with the really hard ones too…
This week’s theme is first book you remember picking up by choice. Avante!
Kylana:
The Stinky Cheese Man and Other Fairly Stupid Tales by Jon Scieszka and Lane Smith
So I remember getting this book from the school library, back when the idea of a book without pictures sounded insane/horrible. A book of fairy tales, a little snarky, right up my alley. Honestly, I think I’d probably still enjoy this book.
Neko:
Meet Samantha, An American Girl by Susan D. Adler
Does anyone else remember reading these? I first got hooked by going to a reading for Meet Abby, I ended up reading them all through Molly, the original girls, but loved Samantha the most! They are all great books for girls though and if you have young ladies in your life I highly recommend introducing them to the different American Girls!
So what is the first book you remember picking up?
Next week’s theme is: Favorite Dystopian Title
Martin’s Mice by Dick King-Smith was the very first novel I remember reading all by myself.
I was a big American Girl fan. Except I am wondering if you meant Addy instead of Abby? There are like 26 million American Girls now though, so you may really have meant Abby.

Sorry. I didn’t mean to make you feel stupid. 🤦🏼♀️ 😊
Yeah. Kids books are awesome. I’m loving reliving childhood with my kids. Me and my 7 year old just started reading Matilda together. She is loving it!
