Hey Book Nerds!
I decided to get Kindle Unlimited to help prevent myself from spending too much money on my books and thought it might be fun to share some of my favorites every so often for those who also have Kindle Unlimited or for those who may be considering it.
There is no specific genre or order in this list.
Kylana:
The Queen’s Poisoner by Jeff Wheeler
I initially picked this up because it had great reviews and a beautiful cover. I believe it’s a historical fantasy and follows a little boy who lives at the castle as a hostage because his family isn’t trusted. The cover links to amazon for more information but it’s a fun read and was a nice surprise. There is magic in this series but it’s more in the sense that there are people who are gifted with special abilities, referred to as “fountain blessed”. It’s a big part of the story but at the same time feels very subtle since it’s not something everybody in this realm has.
Echo in Time: A Time Travel Romance by Lindsey Fairleigh
This book I picked up because I wanted to read INKWITCH and this was mentioned to be the first part of Kat’s story. This takes place in Seattle & Egypt. I’m not sure why but I always enjoy finding good books that take place in Seattle. The main character of this book is Lex and while this trilogy is a romance don’t expect it to be quick.
The one thing I wasn’t a huge fan of was in the last book it jumps between characters and it felt a little off. It was still worth reading but just a touch offputting.
I don’t even remember why I picked this book up but boy was I surprised to find out how much I would enjoy it. I started it and finished it on the same day. Obviously, this is a Cinderella retelling. This book starts with Ella Rodriguez getting into a nasty car accident and losing her mother and getting injured in the process. She ends up moving in with her dad whom she hasn’t seen since she was a young child and has to learn to live with him, his new wife and her two daughters while also learning to live with bodies changes as a result of the accident.
On the flip side of things is Brian, who she’s been corresponding with for a while now through her blog and it turns out he is a famous actor and has his own struggles going on.
I should probably not share too much more.
I found this to be an extremely wonderful book and I could see myself re-reading this in the future. I believe they just announced a sequel will happen eventually but it’s great as a standalone.
That’s it for now! Do you have Kindle Unlimited? If so what are your favorite books?
